Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim shared this announcement on his Facebook post, emphasizing the significant role these organizations play in assisting communities affected by the floods through various humanitarian initiatives. He expressed his hopes that these contributions, with God's grace, would help alleviate the burden of those impacted by the devastating floods. In a joint statement, the organizations revealed that representatives, including Astro Malaysia Berhad Chairman Tunku Ali Redhauddin Tunku Muhriz, Bumi Armada Chairman Raja Tan Sri Arshad Raja Tun Uda, Maxis Interim Chairman Dato' Hamidah Naziadin, Maxis CEO Goh Seow Eng, and Measat Director Shahrul Rezza Hassan, presented the donations to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. The contribution breakdown is as follows: Maxis donated RM 2 million. Astro, Bumi Armada, and Measat each donated RM 1 million. The joint statement further noted that this collective financial aid aims to assist flood-affected communities, particularly in the East Coast states, where the recent floods have caused significant hardship.
